Fremont School for Adults provides a variety of lifelong learning opportunities for adult learners in the greater Sacramento area.  With over 3,500 students enrolled in its 181-day regular school year and its summer school programs, the vibrant activity and strong sense of purpose at Fremont is clearly evident.
  
 

  Fremont students come from around the world and bring with them a wide range of languages and cultures, providing the campus with rich cultural diversity. 

         The mission of Fremont School for Adults is to educate adults so they will have the basic life skills and academic skills essential to be successful in our society. We are open for business from 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Fremont strives to be responsive to the changing, dynamic needs of its student population. We offer a wide range of critical programs and demonstrate commitment to excellent instruction. 

            For those students who have “fallen through the cracks”, Fremont’s fully accredited High School Completion program provides the opportunity for earning credits necessary for high school graduation.  The Adult Basic Education program provides foundation skills for those who have found the job market requires proficiency in elementary reading, writing, and math, even for entry-level jobs.  Fremont is an official state GED testing site for students wishing to take the GED test either in English or Spanish.    In addition, students may take classes in GED TEST PREPARATION.

           Opportunities to acquire skills and knowledge enable students to move from welfare to work, to higher education, to a better job, and to overall improvement in quality of life.  Fremont’s programs are an essential and positive contribution to the entire community.

Distance Learning Opportunities: 

            For Students who wish to learn English at home or to augment their class studies with other outstanding materials, Fremont offers “Distance Learning” opportunities in English language acquisition. 

Fremont School for Adults Student Support Center 

The counseling staff and the Registrar at Fremont School for Adults are dedicated to helping students succeed in reaching their educational goals.  The day and evening counseling staff is available to assist students with educational decision-making and career exploration.  Counselors are available to help students research educational institutes that meet their career choice needs.  Counselors are able to help fill out educational applications and registration forms and are able to assist students with financial aid applications. 

Our Registrar works with the Counselors to evaluate student records and further assist students towards meeting their educational needs and goals. 

 

            The Fremont School for Adults staff is dedicated to meeting students’ academic needs and producing a positive difference in the lives and futures of those served.  We at Fremont are fully committed to providing top quality services and course offerings that meet students’ needs.  Fremont’s mission and the staff’s resolution to see that the goals for students are met within the context of top-notch customer service make it a worthy choice for student attendance.
